When Renda Writer of WeMerge Magazine asked me to participate in a show appropriately titled "The Ellen Art Show" I quickly agreed because Renda is always helping the arts community and he's one of those people that is always working so hard and pursuing his dream of reading his poem "Half Hearted" on the Ellen Show. Renda is a poet with 11 years experience writing, recording, and performing live poetry. Ever since 2007, it has been his dream to read his poem on the Ellen Show. He is talented at bringing artists together with his "WeMerge Thursdays" with one of the best "open mike nights" around that is truly a lot of fun. Check out Kevro's Art Bar in Delray and Stage 84 in Davie for his shows.

Myself and 29 other local artists have donated our portraits of Ellen to raise enough money to get a plane ticket for Renda to meet with the Ellen Show in LA. There will be a silent auction starting at just $20 on each piece, so hopefully, Renda will be in the friendly skies soon on his way to poetic stardom!
Besides being a place to score some great art by local artists, it will be a great chance to make new friends in the art world, shake a few hands, see GAB studios and generally have a good time while helping Renda out.
