MODERN MASTERS will be a showcase exhibition, comprising the works of three accomplished artists working in completely different mediums and styles. Painter Barry Gross, painter/sculptor Salvatore Principe and Digital Media Pioneer Laurence Gartel, whose work spans nearly 4 decades, all originally born and raised in New York and now living and working in South Florida.

Artist Barry Gross is a painter whose sensitivity and techniques resemble a style as old as DaVinci. Barry’s art can be found in the permanent collections of Malcolm Forbes, Burt Reynolds and Elton John. Barry has been painting since the early 70’s. His style is reminiscent of Rembrandt and Vermeer, but with modern themes of isolation, internal struggle and manipulation, overflowing with emotion.

Salvatore Principe’s art is described as one in which the “brutal collides with the beautiful”. It reflects emotion, blind to barriers and influenced by the work of Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Willem De Kooning and Jackson Pollock. His art is about the spirit of life, celebrated through human emotion, current, chic and modern, always current and influencing what’s chic and modern, with many pieces having graced the walls of Saks Fifth Avenue, Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman and The Trump Towers. His pieces have also been exhibited in galleries and art events around the globe.
Laurence Gartel is known as the “Father of Digital Art” for over 35 years. He taught Andy Warhol how to use the Amiga Computer. Gartel is most known for his ABSOLUT GARTEL ad for Absolut Vodka. He has been commissioned by celebrities such as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chili Peppers,Versace and others. His work is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of American History, Bibliothque Nationale Paris, and the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum in London.
